What is Genetics?
Genetics is the science of heredity and variation in living organisms. Simply put, how we inherit eye colors, hair color etc.

The Goal
Of this page is to give you a basic understanding of how the genetics of reptiles affects their coloring or pattern. In doing so I hope that there is a better understanding of what some of those magical terms such as allele and locus mean. The articles below are organized and should help you understand genetics and how it applies to reptiles.
